Painted veneer is found in the collections COLUMN, FRAME PLAIN, and SHAKER. It is made by spray painting ash veneer, resulting in a visible wood structure. The painted veneer gives the front a structural visual effect and depth, showcasing the unique qualities of the ash wood. The combination of veneer and the particular paint type, alongside a top coating of matte lacquer, makes for an extra durable finish that is nearly maintenance-free
About paint
The paint used is a two-component polyurethane lacquer of a gloss level of 25, resulting in a matte finish that is easy to clean. We advise being cautious about denting or scratching the fronts and panels, as this could lead to the lacquer paint being scraped off. A touch-up kit is included in each order to allow for color corrections.
Daily Cleaning
Lacquered fronts are easy to maintain. Cleaning should be done with a soft cloth wrung out in warm water with a mild detergent. We recommend wiping off excess moisture and drying the surface with a soft cloth.
Preventive Measures
Although the painted surface is resistant, it should never be treated with products containing abrasive substances. Using abrasive sponges or harsh materials such as sandpaper or steel wool may cause visible scratches.
Avoid using acidic or alkaline products, heavily chlorinated products, or those containing bleach, as they may stain or degrade the surface.
Finally, we do not recommend using furniture polishes or wax-based cleaners, as these tend to form a sticky layer on the surface that attracts and traps dirt.
