Reform/IKEA

What to remember when ordering a Reform/IKEA solution

We want to help you get your dream kitchen, no matter if you choose a complete Reform solution where we supply everything you need or if you choose to go for a solution where the cabinets, drawers, hinges, legs, appliances, etc; all the "insides" are from IKEA.

When choose a Reform product to fit IKEA kitchen cabinets, it also means you buy an IKEA kitchen.

IKEA has two main kitchen systems. METOD within Europe and most of the world, and SEKTION in North America. You can choose between base cabinets, wall cabinets, tall cabinets and built-in cabinets. We offer fronts for all models. We do not offer any solutions for the discontinued FAKTUM and AKURUM kitchen series.

IKEA offers many solutions for interior design, and we always recommend that you visit IKEA and see their different solutions as we only have a small selection of what they offer in our showroom.

IKEA will always be experts on their products, and if in doubt about the decor or the possibilities of their elements, you can always have a chat with one of their consultants. We provide expertise in Reform's products and supervise in fronts and worktop, but refer to IKEA for anything relating to the cabinets and interior of the kitchen.

This means that the ordering proces in IKEA and Reform is separate, and below is a step by step explanation of what you need to remember when ordering at IKEA:

In IKEA you get all the advice and guidance you need for sketching up and planning your new kitchen from a one of their kitchen consultants. You can book your meeting beforehand For this type of meeting, you should bring measurements and by the end of such meeting you should have a full kitchen plan and a visual of your new kitchen. It includes an order list and a drawing of the kitchen. You can see an example of an IKEA kitchen plan here: Kitchen drawing

Product list and what you must remember:
Remember to get all hinges ordered with the cabinets, and if your fronts are handle less, you must also remember to order push mechanisms in IKEA and include their push to open drawers, EXEPTIONELL.

IKEA has even compiled a checklist, which is good to read through before you order your kitchen.

IKEA drawing and what you need to remember:

When you draw your kitchen IKEA drawing program you can choose to draw the kitchen with or without fronts. We recommend that you make your kitchen drawing with IKEA fronts, so we can see the configuration of fronts you have chosen for your cabinets. We need a plan view and elevation view and images of the complete setup. See example here:
