Fronts in Oregon Pine

What to expect; fronts in lacquered Oregon Pine veneer

Oregon Pine is a light, red-brownish wood with a fine and narrow grain. Over time, the colour will turn into a more warm red tone.

The veneer grain direction is placed diagonally at approximately a 45 degree angle on both front and backside.

As the veneer is a natural material, it will have some slight colour variations that may become more visible as the material ages.

The edges of the veneer fronts are solid Oregon pine.

The fronts in Oregon Pone are finished with a matte lacquer to protect the surface.

Cleaning should be done with a soft cloth wrung in warm water with a mild detergent. Remember to finish by wiping off with a dry soft cloth.

- Although very resistant, the painted surface must still never be treated with products containing abrasive substances, macro abrasive sponges or unsuitable materials such as sandpaper or steel wool - strongly acidic or alkaline products should be avoided because they can stain the surface - bleach and heavily-chlorinated products should be avoided - when using solvents, the cloth used must be perfectly clean so as not to leave marks on the surface. Any marks may, however, be removed by rinsing with hot water and drying well - do not use furniture polishes or wax-based cleaners in general, because they tend to form a sticky layer on the surface that attracts and traps dirt - do not use metal scrapers, iron brushes or any other metal tool to remove stains, paint, plaster or other substances from the surface.
